It is with deep sadness and a heavy heart that I share with you all that author Monica Jackson has passed away. Yesterday her daughter tweeted that her mother died during surgery where her brain lost oxygen while undergoing the proceedure. As a reader and fan of African American Romance, Monica’s books Never too Late for Love and The Look of Love were sweet tales of love that inspired me. I didn’t know Monica personally but in the romance community it’s hard not to recognize a fellow author who has been a pioneer and advocate of African American Romance. My deepest condolences go out to the Jackson family. Monica will be deeply missed.

I’m happy to share that my 1920′s prohibition love story is soon to be released. I first wrote Harmony as a short story for free three years ago. I believe the original piece was only 10K words. For a long time I toiled over how to develop an interracial historical romance. I’m not one to want to dwell on race issues. Writing Harmony became the tightrope that help me define how I will pursue my historicals in the future. At the end of the day I want a love story that is plausible, memorable, and after some long nights I think I found it.

I’d like to ask you lovely readers to be kind enough to leave your honest reviews for me on whatever site you purchase from. I also want to encourage you to frequent the yahoo group. In the upcoming weeks I plan to schedule monthly chats for us to come in and dish about stories such as Harmony. I can’t wait to hear from you.

The confessions of a author/publisher growing her business and her talent. As I move forward with releasing quality Interracial Romances I’m constantly challenged by books that I’ve previously released that may or may not have held the standard I want to promote with my brand under my author name. This often means that books you’ve purchased have been pulled, revamped and re-released. I listen to my reviewers, critics, for the good and the bad. Especially if their reviews are about the story and not their dislike of me personally (rolleyes). How can I not and grow? How can I continue to develop the type of books that I want readers to escape into and enjoy over and over again?

This is why Taming the Scotsman has been redone. Is the book drastically different, more sex scenes, change in story direction? No. The story is basically the same. A few tweaks here and there does not change who Alec Cavanuagh is or how he loves his Jayla Howard. However, the book has gone through three professional edits and revisions so it is a quality, holistic read and I’m very proud of it. I’m aware that the first release of Taming the Scotsman sold over 500 copies. This means that many of you have it. I would not suggest you repurchase it. I’m happy to share that Harmony is releasing on the 20th and will be fresh and exciting mobster loving adventure with over 200 pages of steam!

So for those of you that never had the chance to experience the tale, yes, it’s definitely a Sienna Mynx story worthy of your time. I can’t wait to hear what you think!

Ever been so excited about something you’re ready to explode? I can’t tell you the thrill I get when characters I’ve dreamt and carried inside me for YEARS come to life. The Battaglia Mafia Series (My Romantic Soap Drama) is a nine book series I’ve been dying to re-release. Since it’s creation in 2005 I’ve garnered so many fans and supporters I feel like we own Don Giovanni and Bella Evangeline together! Needless to say this year began with a rocky start. However, I’ve finally found my groove, and completed some of my big projects (Mi Carino, Harmony, Taming the Scotsman…. oh and I still got Aiden/Daisy to finish). I wanted these projects done so I could fully invest in the story that is epic love affair. I’ve given you samples of the development and I plan to share more. But now it’s time for you to see the book covers! Oy! Are they hawt!

As I promised I am ready to give you some insight to the upcoming release dates. The next few weeks promise to be big for Sienna Mynx fans. First the good news. Taming the Scotsman has got the all clear to be re-released. For those of you who haven’t read the first version you will be pleasantly surprised by this book. Initially published in 2011 the book had some errors that had to be addressed. And you know I’m always up for the challenge. Both of my editors for Taming the Scotsman have done a wonderful job in dusting off this story and polishing it to perfection. The release date is scheduled for next week May 11th. I can’t wait to hear from you as to what you think.

Harmony, Harmony, Harmony, my return to historical romance is with a bit of trepidation. Taking a part of history and turning it on it’s side to make your own little love story is quite risky. I’ve taken some liberties and exaggerated some facts in the name of entertainment. I really hope you will see the spicy love affair between Harmony and Vinnie the way that I do. I so adore this couple and it was hard releasing them to my editor. The book is undergoing aggressive edits now, and they will continue for the next three weeks. The release date is tentatively scheduled for May 20th. Here’s hoping you will find it an enjoyable read.

The Golden Chalice, my final installment into the Lee’s Girls saga. I wish I could give you the definite release date, but I have yet to hear it from the publisher. However I do have news. The book has moved over to line edits. This process is like the final sweep before the book is scheduled to be released for your enjoyment. I anticipate a release date to come soon. My fingers are crossed for the end of May, but it might fall somewhere in June. Again nothing confirmed from my publisher, but I hear we’re really close!
