What’s The Scenario Wednesday: “Don’t Stand So Close To Me”
Wednesday, October 26th, 2011 • The Mynx

Today is What’s the Scenario Wednesday. I haven’t participated in the author loop in weeks but since this will be the last Wednesday in October I thought about giving you Diva’s a Holiday treat!

“Chosen,” was an author anthology I wanted to release this Halloween. Friends of mine had worked over a year on putting together a compelling erotic thriller set in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. This story follows four friends and students at Tulane at the first Mardi Gras. The witching hour separates them, and each are drawn by supernatural spirits that stalk Burbon Street that fateful night.

The book is still under re-writes and probably won’t release until the first of the year. I will be doing the project solo. But my author friends have given me some invaluable input in the story direction that I plan to use. So I’m very happy with this project. That being said, the core character in the book is one of my favorites. Her story is influenced by my favorite author Anne Rice. It taps into that old-style vampirism that pre-dates Twilight. I can’t wait to have you read her story. For this Halloween you will read an excerpt of her ancester Lisette. The small sample introduces the vampire Yvain. His 200 year pursuit of Lisette’s decdendants begin with this tale. Today’s theme of “Don’t Stand So Close To Me” is truly felt and expressed in this scene. LOL! This is a rough draft copy (unedited) so please excuse errors. Enjoy:

New Logo
Sunday, October 23rd, 2011 • The Mynx

The Divas Pen has it’s very first trademark logo. I was so excited when Reese Dante finished the design for it. I think it encompasses everything I want to express for my brand. I’ve decided to extend some of my published e-books and then release them into print. Now that I have my trademark for my print books my hopes for world domination can begin! LOL! Seriously, you will notice this trademark on the back of Before Sunrise (when I finally get it released) and the compilation book for the Mel and Tia Series, and so forth. Here it is! Isn’t she lovely!
